POLICY ON THE USE OF COOKIES

This Policy sets out the rules for creating, storing and accessing information on the User's devices using Cookies in order to provide electronically the services requested by the User.

1. general provisions

  1. The Administrator, in order to provide electronic services, creates and stores temporary files and accesses selected information in the User's devices.
  2. Cookies - means binary data, usually small text files, saved and stored on the User's device, which are used in programming languages for more efficient communication between the website and the user.
  3. Cookies created on the user's device may originate either from the Administrator's system (so-called own cookies) or from external programmes supervising communication on the Internet (so-called external cookies, e.g. from Google and other services).
  4. The User has the option to restrict or disable the access of cookies to their Device. If this option is exercised, the use of the Website will be possible, except for functions that by their nature require cookies.

2 Purposes of cookies

  1. Cookies and similar technologies are used on websites to ensure the correct transmission of data between linked computers. They have a very wide range of applications, helping to adjust the content of a page of settings on the recipient's computer, remembering the preferred appearance of a page, e.g. the font size set, ensuring that the user performs several steps (e.g. add an article, make a purchase in an online shop). Cookies can also be used to tailor displayed advertisements to the interests of website visitors. It could be said that cookie technology is essential for the correct display of interactive pages.
  2. In addition to cookies sent from the website you are connecting to, cookies may also be sent from the servers of referenced websites, e.g. Google, YouTube or social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and others.
  3. In the most general terms, we can divide cookies into two types of files:
    • session cookies: are stored on the User's Device and remain there until the session of the respective browser ends. The stored information is then permanently deleted from the Device's memory. The mechanism of session cookies does not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be collected from the User's Device;
    • permanent cookies: these are stored on the User's Device and remain there until they are deleted. The end of the session of the browser in question or the switching off of the Device does not cause them to be deleted from the User's Device. The mechanism of permanent cookies does not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be collected from the User's Device.
  4. Under normal circumstances, the Cookies used are safe for the user. If they are used correctly, it is not possible for viruses or other unwanted software or malware to enter the Users' Devices. These Cookies allow the software used by the User to be identified. Cookies usually contain the name of the domain from which they originate, the length of time they are stored on the Device (this is limited) and the assigned value (key).
  5. Cookies do not collect any personal data, including names and email addresses.
  6. Each user can change the cookie settings of their browser, including deactivating cookies altogether. If the user does not deactivate the storage of cookies from various websites, this in practice means that he/she agrees to the storage of cookies on his/her computer.
  7. The user can delete cookies at any time using the available functions in the web browser they are using.
  8. If you choose to reject all cookies, you will not be able to use some of the content and services provided on our websites, in particular those that require you to log in and subsequently complete, for example, a purchase transaction in an online shop. However, disabling cookies does not prevent you from browsing on most sites.
  9. The user can delete cookies at any time using the available functions in the web browser they are using.
  10. It should be noted that cookie technology is used by hackers to infect computers and introduce malware. Cookie technology, which is supposed to ensure correct communication with the website server, is in this case misused. In order to protect against such attacks and other forms of hacking attempts, it is important to have a good virus protection programme.
  11. Today, cookie technology is the 'salt' of the internet - in a good way. Without cookies, many websites become much poorer.
